Young Chef Finalists
30th Jun 2008
Congratulations to Phoebe Fardell and Max Curwen-Bingley, both Year 7, who have reached the finals of the Essex Chronicle "Young Chef of the Year".
Phoebe and Max cooked their winning dishes before a panel of celebrity judges on Sunday, 29 June to compete for the title!

The 3 contenders took part in a cook-off at the Taste-Italia Cookery School in Ramsden Heath to see who would win.
Phoebe cooked spaghetti with asparagus in a cream sauce with roasted pine nuts. She was up against Abbie Dixon, 11, of William de Ferrers School, who cooked roasted vegetable and goats cheese parcels in a couscous and tomato sauce, and Max who cooked 'kebabitori', chicken kebabs served with a marinade of soya sauce, white wine and honey on a bed of egg noodles.

The winners will be announced at the awards night at the Waterfront Place in September.
